Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the daily operations of middleware environments ( WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss, IIS, Nginx).

  • Support application teams with deployments, configuration changes, and environment troubleshooting.

  • Monitor middleware performance and availability using standard monitoring and alerting tools.

  • Perform log analysis and root cause investigations to resolve middleware and application issues.

  • Automate routine operational tasks and deployments using scripting tools (e.g., Shell, Python).

  • Ensure consistency and reliability across test, staging, and production environments.

  • Collaborate with DevOps and release management teams to integrate middleware into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Follow and contribute to ITIL-aligned processes for incident, problem, and change management.

  • Document operational procedures, deployment runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience managing and supporting middleware platforms in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with deployment automation, scripting (Shell, Python), and log analysis tools.

  • Understanding of middleware monitoring tools and performance metrics.

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (Jenkins, Git, Ansible).

  • Working knowledge of ITIL service management processes.

  • Middleware operations training or certifications are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud middleware services.

  • Familiarity with web server integration and application troubleshooting.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
