Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the organization’s enterprise encryption and key management strategy.

• Oversee the lifecycle of cryptographic keys including generation, rotation, storage, distribution, archival, and destruction.

• Administer and integrate Key Management Systems (KMS) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) across hybrid cloud environments.

• Implement and maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to support secure communications and identity management.

• Enforce and document key rotation policies, ensuring alignment with compliance frameworks and business continuity requirements.

• Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations ( GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA) and industry standards (NIST 800-57, ISO/IEC 19790, ISO 27001).

• Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, and application teams to support secure key usage and encryption across workloads.

• Monitor for cryptographic vulnerabilities and propose mitigation strategies in response to emerging threats.

• Conduct audits, assessments, and reporting related to encryption and key management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Relevant certification such as CISSP, EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist, or equivalent cryptographic/security certification.

• Hands-on experience with:

  • HSMs, PKI infrastructure

  • Cloud-native KMS platforms (AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, GCP Cloud KMS)

  • Cryptographic protocols (TLS, RSA, ECC, AES, SHA)

• In-depth understanding of NIST and ISO encryption standards and regulatory requirements.

• Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex cryptographic concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in automating key management processes using scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

• Familiarity with secrets management tools (HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk).

• Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and evolving encryption trends.
