Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers ( RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

• Perform routine troubleshooting, system updates, and patch management.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Write and maintain shell scripts for automation of repetitive tasks.

• Set up and manage cron jobs and system logs for scheduled maintenance and monitoring.

• Assist with basic networking tasks such as configuring IP addresses, DNS, and routing.

• Monitor system performance, disk usage, and handle incident response as needed.

• Collaborate with other IT teams on deployments and support requests.

• Document configurations, procedures, and system changes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Practical experience with Linux server administration.

• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash or similar).

• Familiarity with cron jobs, system monitoring, and user access management.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH).

Preferred Certifications:

• RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator)

• LPIC-1 (Linux Professional Institute Certification Level 1)

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience with scripting languages beyond Bash (Python) is a plus.

• Understanding of basic security practices for Linux environments.
